Cristy is a Southern California based illustrator; she loves to paint with traditional media and strives to make pieces that create a sense of whimsy in the mundane. Her favorite subjects are skulls, flowers, animals, and all things witchy.

She is greatly inspired by the works of Studio Ghibli, not only by the beauty of the artwork but in the simple slower pace of the story telling and the attention to the mundane and everyday task and roles we play.

Before pursuing a career as an illustrator Cristy spent 10 years as a costume designer, in this role she found her love of creating worlds and characters and she carries that passion with her in her artwork.

She recently graduated from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design with her BFA. She is also currently working for her local school district as an instructional assistant and plans to someday combine her love of art and working with children by obtaining her MFA in art education.
